Those eyeing T-Mobile's SidekickiD to fulfill their mobile messaging needs better pick one up while they can. That's because the entry-level edition of the carrier's smartphone for the young and hip is no longer being manufactured and is now only available in limited quantities while supplies last.
While the Sidekick iD took the same form factor as other Sidekicks, it lost a number of important features to reach a price point to go with its entry-level status. These include a camera, Bluetooth, music playback, EDGE data support, and a memory card slot.
So, it would seem with the demise of the iD, folks are willing to shell out a little extra cash to get their Sidekick fix with all the features they need.
Even with the discontinuation of the iD, T-Mobile's still got plenty of Sidekick love to go around. There's the Sidekick LX, the follow up to the Sidekick 3, and the Sidekick Slide, a thinner Sidekick with a unique variation on the usual Sidekick form factor. [Via Engadget] Related Links:
