So, you're feeling pretty hip toting around your new mobile device, huh? Envy of the neighborhood as you check your e-mail in the grocery line? For those of us toting a smartphone for other than the most work-centric reasons, Verizon is hoping to court you and keep you brand-loyal. And they've enlisted some big names to help.

Last week, Verizon announced the release of a "mobile underground remix" of Madonna's single "4 Minutes," off her new album "Hard Candy." The wireless provider says it's teamed up with producer Timbaland and pop star Justin Timberlake in the launch, which is available as a ringtone, ringback tone or full song download from Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music Service.

Earlier this year, Verizon announced it had selected Timbaland as its first "mobile producer in residence" with the objective of releasing a full mobile album during this year.

If Madonna's not your cut of tea, don't despair. Other artists can't be far behind.
