No iPhone
but if it will record video, allow me to send MMS, and copy & paste, right out of the box. I'll buy it.

Not very comparable
You neglect to mention a few other disadvantages of the Instinct when compared to the iPhone: - No multi-touch touchscreen - 50% lower resolution screen - 13% smaller screen - little built-in RAM, max of 8GB card (at extra cost) - 30% shorter battery life (hence the need for the second battery) - no accelerometers - No iPod ecosystem of 3rd party peripherals etcPretty sad that all Samsung can do is make such a poor imitation of the iPhone really. Come on Samsung - how about some originality? -Mart

Multi touch
you don't mention multi touch, so I assume the screen is just old plain single touch screen. Multi touch screen and gestures is where the iPhone is far ahead of any single touch : )

Correction: iPhone touchscreen is capacitive
The article incorrectly states the iPhone touchscreen uses heat.It is a capacitive model, meaning it detects a finger drawing off current from an electric field over the screen.
