The popular photo sharing site Flickr offers a mobile version at m.flickr.com. Use a web browser to access that from your smartphone and you can upload photos from your phone, see new uploads from friends or read comments.

When you get to the mobile Flickr home page, you'll be prompted to sign in. Then, you'll see a menu offering recent activity, photos and videos from contacts, comments you've made and more. You can upload a photo or video from your phone, explore recent uploads from your contacts or search for photos.

Flickr users can also upload photos or videos to their pages via e-mail, directly from their phones.

When you're logged into Flickr, click on "upload to Flickr." You'll be given a personalized e-mail address to which you send your photo or video.

Use the subject line to designate the photo's title. The body of the e-mail is where you can write the photo's description. Attach the file and send the message and, viola!, you and all your contacts can view it on your Flickr page.
