ROM update's been posted to allow owners of Motorola's Q9h to reap the benefits of Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard (smartphones without touch screens). The upgrade includes an update to Internet Explorer Mobile, better wireless connectivity, and the addition of a sliding panel interface to the Windows Mobile today screen. There's also new timesaving features, easier phone navigation and management, stronger security safeguards, and support for Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008. As with any ROM update, follow Motorola's instructions very closely and make sure everything on your Q9h is backed up before you proceed.
