Kinoma Making Multimedia More Manageable

By Amy Mayer

Kinoma Play promises to make your media consumption go faster and more smoothly on your smartphone. The company even claims that, bandwidth permitting, you can have the same multimedia Internet experience on your smartphone as you're accustomed to on your regular computer. Some of the features it offers:

  •
  • Stream podcasts instead of downloading and syncing them.
  •
  • Focus on playback with the Media First interface, which practically disappears while you view photos and video or listen to music.
  •
  • Watch YouTube video via the same feeds that run to your PC (bandwidth permitting) for a high-quality experience.
  •
  • Search your phone, your home PC and the Internet with the integrated search function.

The software costs $29.99 for Windows Mobile (5.0 and later).
