Apple Adds an Odd Wrinkle to iPhone Apps Policy

A flood of new applications is appearing for the iPhone, but Apple still decides who gets to play, and the rules aren't always clear. Just ask Alex Sokirynsky, who waited weeks to have his $9.99 Podcaster application approved by Apple for distribution via its App Store, only to have Podcaster rejected, eventually. Why? Because it "assists in the distribution of podcasts, it duplicates the functionality of the Podcast section of iTunes," according to Apple.
