Hidden Code Uncovered on iPhone 3G

A member of the Whirlpool iPhone forum in Australia recently made a startling discovering. While playing with his camcorder's NigthShot function, he accidently uncovered a data matrix code on the iPhone. As the folks at Engadget point out, the code is likely nothing more or less than a way for Apple to subtly place each iPhone's serial and IMEI number on the device. After all, unlike with most other smartphones, you can't include this info beneath the battery, which - after all - is not removable.
