Tip: Smart (Phone) Mobile Home Buying

When you're looking to buy a house, you want a real estate agent who is informed and responsive. If you're a smartphone user, you know how valuable a tool one can be. Make sure your agent has one too.

A survey of realtors has found that those who use Smartphones get back to their clients faster and sell more real estate. But also check that your realtor is getting the most from his or her smartphone.

For example, realtors with BlackBerrys can tote MLS listings in their pocket with Clutch Agent, a third-party software application. It's faster than just using the standard web-access to MLS listings and uses GPS technology to offer turn-by-turn directions from present location to a property brought up on the screen.

Right now, Clutch Agent only works on GPS-enabled BlackBerrys but the company says it's working to adopt its technology to more platforms.
