More cable television channels are adopting the Transpera video delivery and advertising platform for mobile phones. Its latest customers are The Weather Channel, MSNBC, and the Discovery Channel.

MSNBC has already been delivering news content on its mobile site, but now using Transpera's service, the network will be able to sell advertising for smartphones.

Discovery Channel is also using Transpera's mobile advertising platform, and users of iPhones and smartphones can view video content from the Discovery Channel at http://mvideo.discoverychannel.com, TLC at http://mvideo.tlc.com and Animal Planet at http://mvideo.animalplanet.com.

Meanwhile, Transpera will now power the Weather Channel's mobile video delivery and ad insertion for these pages. Viewers can access The Weather Channel forecasts for 100 cities at http://mvideo.weather.com.
