The growing number of on-device applications stores in the mode of the App Store has been a real boon to smartphone owners and developers. One of the good things about Apple's iTunes format is the ability to browse and learn about iPhone and iPod touch apps on your desktop. Well, you can now do the same for Palm's webOS App Catalog for the Palm Pre and upcoming Palm Pixi. That's because Palm is now listing all available webOS apps online. Divided into sixteen categories, the Web site includes a screen shot and description of each webOS program. You still can't buy, download and sync these applications from your desktop, but it is a start. Check out Palm's catalog of webOS apps
