RIM's follow up to the BlackBerry Storm, the aptly named BlackBerry Storm2, is set to ship this week. Verizon Wireless will be the exclusive carrier of the smartphone, RIM's second with a touchscreen and its most direct attack on Apple's iPhone yet. The Storm2 will go for $180 with a two-year contract and after a rebate. The display features the mob-e-mail leader's new SurePress technology. Additional new features include the addition of Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. Although the Storm2 is for Verizon's CDMA/EV-DO 3G network, you can use it to make voice calls in over 220 countries and access data in 185 of them. It will also be one of the first of RIM's smartphones to run on BlackBerry OS 5.0. See
