Platform Tracks Text Messages for Financial Services Industry

TextGuard, a provider of Mobile Device Communication Compliance solutions, has released version 4.0 of TextGuard Global. Compatible with RIM Blackberry and Windows Mobile smartphones, TextGuard is an application that monitors and archives SMS text conversations for FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) compliant communications.

It ensures that each mobile device secures, manages and coordinates all communications, providing archiving capabilities on a secured server remotely accessible by the authorized individual, according to the company.

The newest features with this upgrade include GPS tracking, text and call logging, as well as a LEXICON search function, providing alerts to appropriate compliance administrators. Search options include keywords, content, sender and can be customized specifically for the needs of the financial industry.

The solution encrypts the logs transmitted from a smartphone to a secured TextGuard server, and Messages use 128bit encryption from the device to the TextGuard Web application.

Pricing is based on a tiered model, dependent on the number of devices being monitored. See here for more information on TexGuard.
