For years, DYMO CardScan has provided desktop solutions to allow users to more easily import contact data from a business card onto their PC. Today, with the launch of the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, the company has started offering a version of its software for Windows Mobile.

Called CardScan Mobile, the application allows users to transfer contact information from a business card to the correct fields in the contact list of a Windows smartphone after taking a picture of the business card with the handset's camera.

The program, which goes for $14.95 works with Windows Mobile 6 or higher smartphones with a 2 megapixel or higher camera with autofocus.

Windows Marketplace for Mobile is Microsoft's on-device application storefront for Windows Mobile smartphones. It is Redmond's answer to the iPhone App Store, Android Market, BlackBerry App World, etc.
