T-Mobile USA Delivers No-Contract BlackBerry Package

By James Alan Miller
November 18, 2009

T-Mobile today made it easier for consumers to jump onto the smartphone bandwagon, particularly the BlackBerry variety. It is now offering T-Mobile Complete, a new pre-packaged solution that includes no annual contract and allows folks to pay for service on a monthly basis.

Available through Best Buy and Wal-Mart, T-Mobil Complete lets you choose from four BlackBerry models, including the new BlackBerry Curve 8520—the first pay-as-you-go RIM smartphone in the U.S.—starting at $59.99. The package includes first month free and a range of unlimited voice/data plans starting at $50 per month.

Because there's no contract to sign, T-Mobile Complete customers don't need to worry about paying excessive fees should they decide to ditch T-Mobile for another carrier.

T-Mobile expects smartphones to account for 40 percent of its sales in the fourth quarter of 2009.
