Oasys Brings BlackBerry Support to Outlook Mail Manager

By James Alan Miller
November 9, 2009

Oasys Software's Mail Manager is a Microsoft Outlook plug-in to help users manage e-mail more efficiently. The latest version, 5.0, adds support for RIM' BlackBerry smartphones.

The purpose of Mail Manager is to help promote better management of employees' e-mail Inboxes on their desktop systems and, now, the most widely used smartphone platform in corporate America so as to save time and, therefore, money.

With that in mind, Mail Manager 5.0 enables users to organize and file e-mail directly from their BlackBerry while also providing fast e-mail search, even when the user is disconnected from the network, according to the developer. Other enhancements include defined business rules for all users and Microsoft Explorer integration, which sends links to files rather attaching them to e-mails.
