UPS to Deliver BlackBerry App Tomorrow

By James Alan Miller
December 15, 2009

UPS plans to deliver an application to turn a BlackBerry into a shipping center tomorrow. The UPS Mobile App, already available the iPhone, enables people to track shipments, create shipments using the My UPS address book, calculate shipping rates and time-in-transit, and then find the nearest UPS location.

While the app doesn't require log-in for tracking, when you are logged in, it'll show a history of tracked shipments and automatically refresh when the application is opened. UPS tracking numbers can be nicknamed for quick reference. Users can even create shipping labels, which can be e-mailed in a PDF file for printout.

The UPS Mobile App supports the BlackBerry Storm, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Tour and the BlackBerry Curve 8900. See here for more information.
