The Missing Sync Links Android Phones with PCs, Macs

Mark/Space has released a version of its desktop synchronization software for smartphones running on Google's Android platform.

'gPhones' are natively capable of syncing information over the Web but not locally. With Mark/software, which supports Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OS X, this changes.

The Missing Sync for Android can reliably synchronize contacts and transfer media files (e.g. music, photos, video, docs & files, ringtones, and podcasts) between an Android smartphone and a computer running on any of those three platforms, according to the company.

Currently, The Missing Sync supports smartphones like the HTC Hero, Motorola Cliq and T-Mobile myTouch. It will soon support phones running Android OS 2.0, such as the Verizon Droid by Motorola.

The Missing Sync for Android is available for $39.95. Those who own any version of The Missing Sync can crossgrade to The Missing Sync for Android for $29.95.
