T-Mobile Android G1 users won't be deprived of GPS functionality, as TeleNav makes its GPS Navigator software available for Google's handset platform later this month.

The app will feature full-color 3D turn-by-turn navigation. It'll also include more than 10 million business listings, gas prices, weather updates and restaurant reviews.

Using the application's voice recognition, users just press a button, say the name of their destination, and directions follow.

Subscribers can preplan trips online by accessing their account through My TeleNav.

Also, the My TeleNav Internet browser plug-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google toolbars provides subscribers an easy way to send addresses to their phone from any Web page. Users can highlight an address and click the TeleNav button on their toolbar. The address will be automatically added to My TeleNav for later use.

Once on the road, TeleNav GPS Navigator monitors each specific route and will proactively search for traffic congestion or incidents.
