Windows Mobile Prototype Stolen at Mobile World Congress

As Microsoft unveiled its new version of Windows Mobile at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, the software giant introduced the new OS to more users than anticipated. A prototype phone holding a demo of the new operating system was stolen from a friend of Sol Trujillo, the CEO of Telstra, the Australian telecommunications giant. Trujillo had handed the phone to a friend, The London Telegraph reports.

The new Windows Mobile OS includes touch-screen support like that of the iPhone and a new honeycomb-style interface. The GSMA, the organization running Mobile World Congress, threatens to move the conference next year if the crime problem in Barcelona isn't fixed.
