Asus has sent the P835 touch-screen mobile phone to market with the capability to serve as a Wi-Fi hot spot for up to 10 devices, such as laptops or other phones.

Connecting devices is simple and dropped connections are automatically restored, according to Asus.

In addition, the unit's 3.5-inch touch screen displays WVGA resolution, which the company says offers five times the number of pixels of most phones. Asus claims the unit delivers "the best document, photo, movie and Web site viewing experience possible."

The Windows Mobile P835 also runs the Opera Mobile browser and features the Glide touch-screen flicking gestures.
