Glacier Computer's released a new rugged tablet computer, the Ridgeline T100. Based on Windows CE, the tablet is targeted at the warehouse, freight, medical, and field service markets, and is designed for data collection in these tough environments.
According to Glacier Windows CE allows for long battery life, instant on/off, and minimal solid-state hard drive needs. The Ridgeline T100 sports a 8.4" color LCD display with resistive touch screen as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios to communicate to networks and peripherals. <
It also offers sealed IP54 housing against dust and liquids, multiple I/O connectivity, and a hot swap battery. Additional tablets are available from Glacier for those who prefer Windows XP, Embedded XP or Linux.
