OtterBox just announced two new protective cases the BlackBerry Tour, recently released by Sprint in the U.S. One case is the latest member of OtterBox's Impact series and the other is an ultra-rugged Defender series model.

The inner coring of the silicon-based Impact model ($19.95) provides drop and shock protection and a self-adhering screen protector to safeguard against scratches. An included installation card is supposed to make application of the screen protector easy. Otterbox also bundles a microfiber cloth in the Impact package.

As for the Defender case ($49.95, see picture) for the BlackBerry Tour, it sports three layers of protection, according to OtterBox. The first layer is a clear polycarbonate window to protect against scratching as well as dust intrusion; the second is a hi-impact polycarbonate shell; and the third is a silicone skin that wraps over the Tour to absorb bumps and shocks. Volume, trackball, convenience keys, camera, mute button, speakers and the micro USB port all remain accessible through the case.

See here for technical specs of OtterBox's Impact case and here for the same about the Defender model.
