LG has announced its first Google Android-run smartphone, the GW620. A couple of weeks ago, the company revealed plans to release three Windows Mobiles before the close of this year, with ten additional Microsoft-run models to follow in 2010. It didn't reveal much about the GW620.
You use the 'gPhone' in portrait mode when closed, but horizontally when you slide ou its QWERTY thumb-keboard. It has a 3-inch touch display and will sport LG's standard S-Class interface on top of Google's mobile operating system. LG plans to release the smartphone in a few European markets during the fourth quarter. It didnot say how much the GW620 will cost or if it would ship outside of Europe.
