We knew Verizon Wireless would roll out a follow up to the BlackBerry Storm this fall. We didn't know exactly when, though. Now we might. According to a supposed leaked document from the carrier, the BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2 will hit stores on October 14th.
This
image of the document shows several other news phones coming from the country's largest wireless operator around that time as well. These include one (possibly Motorola and Verizon's first Google Android model) called the Motorola A855 Sholes, as well as another called the LG VX8575 Chocolate Touch.
Expected Enhancements to RIM's most direct answer to the iPhone (its first touch screen BlackBerry) include the addition of Wi-Fi and an upgrade to BlackBerry OS 5.x. Like its predecessor, the Verizon version should support the carrier’s CDMA/EV-DO network in the U.S. and include a second, GSM, radio for use when abroad.
