Over a year and half ago, the Mozilla Foundation announced a Windows Mobile edition of the FireFox web browser. The first fruits of this effort (pre-alpha), called Fennec, appeared in February. A few days ago, Mozilla rolled out the third alpha version of the program. According to a blog posting, the update includes a number of enhancements and fixes, including a faster start up time, improved panning and zooming, and support for more screen resolutions with the HTC Touch Pro. You can download the browser, which is still pretty buggy, here. Remember, Mozilla is looking for feedback from anyone willing to give the software a try. In addition to Windows Mobile, Mozilla's been working on a version of Fennec for Nokia's Internet Tablets (the Maemo OS) and the Symbian/S60 smartphone platform. In fact, an second beta version of the browser is now available for Nokia's Linux-run Wi-Fi tablets. See here to learn more.
