Having used Palms and Psions and most others, I highly recommend a HP 720 CE device. The reason is that for school having a small device with a functional keyboard, 56k modem, color, outlook, word, excel, access, powerpoint, and more would be much more valuable to write reports, take notes in class, edit, send or recieved desktop files on the device and not be married to a desktop synch to collaborate with the school and others. I have replaced my PalmV and Toshiba laptop for the one 720. I print directly via an wireless connection to my Canon portable printer in my car, have CF, PCII cards for unlimited expansion, have full WEB brouser to access intranets and more. A Visor or Palm is just a personal organizer not enough to write a report, perform online research, access intranet databases or private school databases, access wireless lans that many schools are providing or print directly or send-edit-create word or excel files directly on the device. You can get one on line for $659 go to mysimon.com and do a price check it is well worth getting over a standard PDA.
