I think 8MB SDRAM is correct. As long as you have power going to the memory there is no problem. The only time a PDA doesn't have power is when you remove the batteries to change them. The Helio has a capacitor the keeps things going for a few minutes while batteries are being changed. After that your right all applications (downloaded) and data are gone - Only the OS and the built in applications are protected in such a situation.
