Message:I bought a Helio at CompUSA, the last one they had. The batteries only lasted a few days. I sent it to Helio support and they sent a new one, so it must have been a known issue. It does the job, but mine has been gpf-ing even with the latest OS. That wasn't a big deal until this morning, when I hit the reset button, all data was lost. I hadn't synched for two days. I did have 5 3rd party add in apps installed, so when I resynched I didn't install any of them to see if they were the problem. I got it because it was cheap to see if I would really use a PDA. The answer for me is yes. If you are going to use it alot and try to install lots of 3rd party apps you might consider a palm os or windows device as I am now considering. If you just want the basic stuff it works fine. But remember, in the technology field support is WAY more important than price. Good luck!P.S. As soon as I was done synching it gpf-ed again, again losing data. Mine seems to be hard reseting not soft reseting. This time I did the hard reset where you can choose to delete all data before synching, we'll see what happens. Speaking of reseting, I have lot's of addresses and tasks in Outlook, and synching takes a long time. First Companion Link has to synch outlook with the Helio Desktop, then it has to synch the desktop with the PDA, and you have to baby sit it because you have to push the synch button in the middle of the operation. That was one reason I wasn't synching every single day.
