I am a cost cutting consumer and I recently entered a contest online to win one of these Helios. I've wanted one since late 1999, but the price was very high in the sky at the time. Since then, I've had time to research it a little bit as well as other PDA's such as Palm III, and Visor. I bumped into a friend who received one for his birthday last Saturday and he said he absolutely loves his Palm III organizer. I had the chance to play with it a little falling in love at that very moment. But still, I had doubts. My life is pretty hectic and it is sort of hard to remember things. I have a few questions that I don't entirely understand.

1. Does the Helio alert you with reminders of dates coming up. i.e.: If I have to watch someone else's kids on April 3rd. Will is sound some sort of alert or remind me everytime I turn it on that the date is coming up?

2. Is it REALLY worth it? I go to school and it is a bit hard to write down the homework for that nite if I'm rushig out the door. Is it easier to just write it down on paper, or does the Helio do it in half the time?

3. Do I have to go through all the computer junk in order to get it to do something right? In other words, all the PC compatitble GARBAGE that it is able to do, if I don't know how to really hook it up and don't have the time at the moment, does it get in the way of getting other things done on the Helio?

4. How much of a benefit does all the calculator/mortgage thing feature?

There are many more questions, but these are the basics. I just really want to know if it is really worth investing $200 into.
