Message:You would have to buy a new device no matter what, by the time that technology comes along (within 5 years) you will need longer battery life (to handle beaming data) and increase processing power (lets face it the Palm or Helios aren't exactly powerhouses). The only devices that may not have to be replaced (although they would require upgrades) would be PocketPC's. Compaq's new iPaq has a 200 MHz Intel processor in it and a Lithium Polymer battery (the longest lasting battery, only Compaq has it). If you were refering to the Palm VII, give me a break, these things are intended for e-mail and web "clipping". Even the new Bluetooth add-ons for PocketPC and possibly Visor only promise to connect devices at short range.
