Message:I recently purchased a SL5500 and kept it long enough to give it a good shakedown. Never had a screen problem but linux software is very limited and hard to find. The machine does not have an internal speaker, you must use headphones, although sound quality is excellent. Also requires purchase of microphone for recording. Qpose was ok,but all in all WinCE provides a better platform. I took it back and opted for the Jornada 568. A few bucks higher but lighter, faster with tons of capability and battery power that can't be beat.
