Well, i have tried the Qpose, and it is a little slow, but still a great first Palm Emulator. Yes PalmOS.com still ets people download the ROM images but you have to be a member. If you want any ROM Images visit mr taxi's website (click on link below)
Scroll down until the middle of the page, and that is where you can find tons of ROMs.
