Message:After 20 months of use I decided to replace my Sharp TM20 with a Palm. To prepare the TM20 for sale I deleted all my personal information from it. After I did that, it wouldn't work -- after showing "setting up, please wait" for a long time it displayed "error, please reboot". I tried everything Sharp's phone support suggested, but every reset just led to the same display. When I asked about repair, they were careful with their words but it seems that the TM20 has not been produced since some time in 2000 and Sharp is only servicing warranty claims at this time. As mine was out of their warranty I was out of luck. I did however claim it under the extended warranty I got by buying it on a gold MasterCard so I recouped most of my original investment. From Pocketmail's website it appears the Oregon Scientific BackFlip products are still in production and fix a number of weaknesses with the TM20 such as, the BackFlips work with digital mobile phones and have a calculator and a to-do list.
