Here's an idea you can use to protect your Sharp TM-20
email address from spammers.

It is a good idea to get a new email address from a place
that offers free email addresses with forwarding options.
One place that does this is http://www.mail.com .

I'm not sure if the JVC PocketMail device works the same
as the TM-20 so these steps might or might not work.

Here is the recipe to follow:

1) Go to http://www.mail.com and get your free email
address.

[For example: "mynewaddress@mail.com".]

2) Select "Options" and then "Forward" and add your
PocketMail email address there. This will forward all email
sent to your new mail.com account to your PocketMail
unit.

[For example: "myid@pocketmail.com". Where "myid" is
the ID I requested when I first activated my PocketMail unit].

3) Power on your Sharp TM-20 PocketMail device and
press the "MAIN" button.

a) Select "ID" from the menu on the right side of the screen. Change

b) Press the "MENU" button again and select "EDIT"

c) Change the "E-mail" and "Reply to" fields to your
new mail.com email address.

[In my case both fields were changed from "myid@pocketmail.com" to "mynewaddress@mail.com".]

I hope this helps. Please let me know if your have other
ideas, questions or corrections to the recipe I've provided.
