Ari;

I was successful in getting my Rex-3 to work with Windows XP Home Ed. I have a Sony VAIO PCG-SR33 and am using the PCMCIA slot.

I believe this was the sequences as they unfolded:
- inserted the Rex-3 and was prompted for the driver CD
- tried installing drivers but couldn't find 'srammtd.vxd' file
- located vxd file on internet and retried install, this time locating vxd file
- received an error indicated card would not install on winXP
(I am not sure what the preceding had to do with getting the card to work but thought I would include it; you may be able to start just by following the Readme from Intel)
- located 'REXW2K_100.EXE' file on Intel support site for Xircom Rex-3000
- removed install of Rex-3 from 'Device Manager' (Control Panel; System; Hardware tab
- ran REXW2KUPGRADE
- inserted REX-3 card in slot and it functioned properly

One issue I came across with the use of the Truesync Plus software. When I run Truesync Plus I do not get the capability of using calendar, memo, contacts or anything. The only option I get is to sync with the Rex-3 using TrueSync Laucher. I have to run the older Truesync Desktop to get that functionality. Both applications use the newer version of TS Laucher however. I haven't taken the time at this point to try to sort this out.

- Brian
