Here is their reply. I pointed out that there is a disjuncture between their concern and their actions and that it does not reflect well that Sprint will not lean on LG to do something. We need to take this to the other boards as well.

..."The manufacturer of your handset carries a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. In order to replace your phone under the manufacturer warranty, the defect is verified by an in-store technician as meeting warranty criteria.
This warranty is exclusive to the manufacturer and will only allow for same model exchanges. We have no liability in connection with the manufacturers' acts or omissions, or both. Since the warranty is exclusive to the manufacturer, upgrades or other brand or model changes are strictly prohibited.

I understand that you have had the phone looked at by a technician who has verified that it meets specifications....."
