Message:Hi, I live in Brazil and I am spending 2 months here in the United States to study English and during this time I bought a cellular STARTAC Model: ST7867W,
DEC:16807973635, HEX:A879AB03 AQJ of SPRINT PCS in the University of Arizona (Tucson), for my use in Brazil.
I have contacted the phone company of Brazil and they said that the cellular was compatible with the brazilian system (CDMA). But I am worried if there is some access code of SPRINT PCS that doesn't permit other companies to configure (enable) this cellular, as the cellular phone company, ATL, in Brazil.
I would be thankful in knowing if the access to the configuration (qualification) of this cellular is free for other phone companies, because I am going back to the Brazil on February 28. And in case it is not, what should I do?
Thank you, respectfully Fábio Montanari.
