I found a Sharp Zaurus (ZR-5800) works well for me. It contains three contact files with Name, Number, Address, and 13 additional User Defined fields. They can each be sorted by any field you prefer. In addition, it has three more Data Files (Contact Information? Orders? Yellow Pages?, etc) that have the full 16 fields, all of which are user defineable. The big advantage is the way you can cross connect these with other files, (documents, activities, to-do's, appointments, birthdays/anniversaries, etc). I can also create or carry MSWord compatible documents, MSExcel compatible spreadsheets (with charting capabilities), hand written notes or sketches. I can create a letter with a map and a real signature, place it in a File Folder with charts and notes, and fax it all with a cover page (sidecar or PCMCIA modem). Unfortunately, they're out of production, but can still be found on e-Bay for $50 to $250 depending on the accessories. (I've got the fax/modem card, a 2mb SRAM memory card, a pc-link cable and an Infrared link cable, and an AC adapter. That reminds me, I can also beam files to Infrared compatible printers, and print through any convenient fax machine using the modem. Good Luck with whatever option you find and choose. Doug
