Miles,

I'm afraid my comments are not what you may be hoping to hear.

RL6.1 is buggy.

I have been unable to sync my documents to Outlook 2000 from RL. It syncs only about 24 of the 35 documents and then crashes RL, while leaving the task OLSYNC99.EXE running. I have tried deleting some of the documents before and after the last one synced thinking one or more had a bad format. Did not fix. I just can't get it to copy all the documents from RL to OL. I started with a blank Notes folder in OL.

The phonebook (contacts) does not allow remapping, so if you changed your fields on the Zaurus they will end up in different fields in Outlook.

Outlines doesn't exist in Outlook, so there is no syncing available (it is available between Zaurus and RL).

You didn't ask about appointments, but FYI, it has a problem with "all day" appointments if you enter them in your Zaurus with no start or end times. The first sync goes OK, but the second sync causes two entries in the Z, RL and OL, each with different start/end times. In OL one has 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM and the other has 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. In RL they have the same as OL (I think), but on the Z one has no start or end time and one has 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. I've had to get used to putting a time range of 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM in my Zaurus entry for all-day events. Then everything is OK.

If you enter everything in OL, you may be OK. I haven't tried that, as my Z is my "master" source for appointments, documents and contacts.

I'm also not happy with the one-step Synchronize All feature which will sync the Z-RL-OL all at once. It doesn't allow you to select individual apps; it automatically syncs all apps which takes a long time. To sync one or two apps I've had to do a double sync: first from Z to RL, then from RL to OL.

Anyway, it's less than perfect, but may suit your needs.

PJ
