Hi -- exciting to see some questions about the new zaurus that's comming!

I can only tell you what I've read... the real difference seems to be the SL-5500 is in English to include the US market. The 5000D version was a pre-release to delvelopers only, and it got great reviews. The MI devices are for asian markets. The new 5500 runs Embeddix Linux and JAVA, and includes PIM functions by QT, media players, e-mail and opera web browsing, SD and CFII card slots, color screen, thin profile, pull-out thumb keyboard, graffiti-like input, headphone jack, quick-launch buttons, 206 MHz StrongArm processor, 64 Meg RAM, and more.

For a reveiw from Tech TV, goto:

It's supposed to come out in April, I think... or maybe it's already out (though I haven't seen it in stores yet). LinuxDevices.com reports that Amazon.com has begun shipping pre-ordered devices, and that they have "added a collection of Zaurus-compatible accessories, including a CompactFlash digital camera."

Regards,
Skyler
