Message:Unless you're using a laptop that allows Sharp's proprietary ASK protocol on it's IR port, you're out of luck. The IRDA protocol the 5700 has is version 1, where all other uses of IRDA on laptops are version 2, and thus incompatible (the Zaurus 3500 uses version 2, I believe). Users of the 5700 who use IR do so using an external IR receiver they hook to the serial port of their laptops, which can handle the ASK protocol (i.e., the Actysis and CE-IR models -- check ebay).Regards,
