Message:Motorola had, what they called MC2, compatible devices. Basically a PCMCIA Modem that plugged directly into the phone. The phones themselves performed some wave shaping functions. I have come to believe this Error Correction Technology has become arcane. While podman is correct ATT no longer activates ANALOG phones, there are many carriers that do. And even ATT supports AMPS (Analog Mobile Phone Service) on most of their network. Another possibilty would be a pre-paid activation, rather than normal service. The PCMCIA units are Cellect, Power, and Montana by Motorola (available on ebay). Most carriers may have used motorola phones, must have MC2 logo. email if you need one (we have piles of them)
Link: probably will make a web page
