v 1.8 is a good version according to davinci people. I tried to upgrade my os per their instructions way long time ago and it dumped the old system, but refuses to transfer new one. I emailed them and they mentioned 1.8 was correct for current dv1's, but gave me no help for my problem. Emailed again tonight.
