I assume that by PDA Format you are referring to a format readable by Palm OS Based PDAs as well as MS OS Based PDAs. The reality is that there are a vast number of formats that are use for books and they are require a variety of different applications to read them. Many of these Reader application offer PC based programs to convert documents to their format. I fou visit the Palm.com web site an burrow into the Palm Books section you will find their document converter. I have provided a link to an excellent two part article on Readers. The article is a little out of date but a super point of beginning.

You could also consider putting the books in Adobe Acrobat format. They now have Release 2 out for the Palm.

shouldn't do that acrobat still creates larger files then standard packed doc, and there are still a lot of people around with 4 and 8 MB devices, don't like to spend much more then 600k on one normal book. for more complex doc's (pictures, links) check out plucker, work's easy, is free, you just need to pre-convert it to html.
