Ipaq & Visor Sync To Same Pc?

I have an IPAQ and Activesync on work PC, Visor (little used so far) synced to home PC. Somewhere on a board long ago I read that PCs are very sensitive if you want to sync both to same PC (I would like to do that now). Does anyone know about the issue?
I read there was some ordinal rule about loading software for one or the other first or it would not work. Can't recall whether it was to install Visor first, then IPAQ or IPAQ then Visor. Thank you for any insights!!

Wife uses a palm, but does not synch with same items that I do with the iPAQ - this has not caused a problem in over 18 months... BUT again, we do not synch the same data.

Have not been gutsy enough to try it - hense every once in awhile I download new contacts from our outlook and upload into the Palm hotsynch software. She keeps a separate category for her new items that we then upload into outlook.

Interested if anyone has more robust method...

I currently sync my ipaq 3955 and my clie 665 on both my desktop and my laptop everyday without any problems. Also, I used to sync my ipaq with a visor prism and solo on the same computers. Occasionally, I would have to partially download active sync (when asked to replace my existing copy on my ipaq, I would click on no) if I synced the handsprings first.
