What are the considerations for picking Treo 300 over Treo 270?

Treo 300 CDMA Sprint network?

Treo 270: Cingular Wireless or T-Mobile? Uses GSM with Cingular and GPRS with T-Mobile. What are the pro and cons? I read that you can have the unit off and still receive SMS messages with GPRS but not with GSM or Sprint.

What is the advantage of one over the other? Just the network it uses?

I see the Treo 300 costs 449.00 and the Treo 270 costs $499.00 today.

It really depends on who has better coverage and service where you are located. In reality the treo 300 is a better deal because of the unlimited data service that they offer for $10 a month! You can't beat that!
However, you cannot still receive SMS's when your cell phone is off regardless if you have gprs service or not. The message will float on the network until you turn your phone back on again and register with the network.
One of the downsides to the treo 300 if you do a lot or any sms messaging is that you cannot send sms from the 300 natively without adding a 3rd party software from PDAApps.com (treo300SMS) and this is not an issue with the 270.
If you are a world traveler the 270 is a better deal as it works world wide where the 300 does not.
I suppose that there are other pros and cons as well but these are the ones that stick out in my mind!

I'm a treo 270 owner since its release in June and love every minute of it!

Hope this helps a little anyways!
