Is it now possible to use ActiveSync to sync files held on a network fileserver with a PocketPC device? MS Knowledge base says that this is definitely not possible with ActiveSync 3.0 and 3.1; "all files must be held on the local desktop machine". It's not clear whether this is still true with 3.5 and 3.6, though it seems to be - which seems incredible, but that's MS for you.
PocketLANce is a shareware app which seems to offer browsing of the network, but I've not been able to see if it allows synchronising of files. Maybe, if ActiveSync itself doesn't support it, there's something out there which does?
