Can the unit sit on a flat surface with the 'clamshell' open without toppling...like a laptop? Let me know. Thanks!

No problem with that. The unit actually gets back on it's normal "sitting" position if put yourself the display on the table.
But... if you tap on the top of the screen, using the stylus without holding the bottom (keyboard), it won't stay firmly in place, but rock&balance, before getting back in position.
Huh... anyone having a very HEAVY memorystick to get it more stable? :D

No, No, bpernet. You don't need a heavier MS. Just store more files on it. ;)
