Choose settings > connections and connections again.

Choose Modify on the internet settings and remove any dial-up or other settigns. If you do not have a modem this should be blank.

Reset the Wifi card and try again. If still not connecting we may have to dig much deeper. Also, you should try posting this to the Ipaq forum. Better answers likely there.

This may be helpful as a similar project: D-Link. It is a compact flash card for home wireless networks. Being a beginner myself, it was actually sold to me by a beginner/veteran? (saw me coming) salesman as actually a full wireless web access card modem. I suggest you go through all avenues at the manufacturer of your mobile device and the network device. Sometimes there are conflicting set up instructions for mobile device settings between the two.

It may be as well you need to simply download drivers or upgrades to get it working properly.

Go To D-Link Wireless Network Modem Card:
http://www.dlink.com/products/wireless/dcf660w/

You may be able to read between the lines there, in similar instructions to your set up.
